However, all parcels to the USA will now be subject to import fees, and shipping rates to the USA have increased :(

But why?

The USA has suspended the de minimis exemption for all international shipments, effective 29 August 2025. This means that all items with commercial value shipped to the USA are now subject to new duties and taxes.

As we are a small business based in Singapore, shipments to our USA customers will be subject to these duties and taxes. Some of our goods were produced by our makers based in China, before being assembled in Singapore. At the time of writing (31 Aug 2025), goods imported from Singapore are subject to a 10% rate of duty while goods from China are subject to a 30% rate of duty.

What does this mean for me?

Customers based in the USA may expect to pay duty estimated at a rate of 10-30% to the US Customs upon receipt of their package. Shipping rates to the USA by our postal carriers have also increased for non-paper goods.

Customers who purchase paper goods (stickers, prints, postcards) will have their packages sent as flat mail, which are more affordable and will not incur any import fees.

We're working on finding a solution so that our USA customers don't incur these fees. But until then, we seek everyone's support to keep us going during these tough times!

Once shipped, most international shipping delivery times take between 2 to 6 weeks to arrive, depending on the efficiency of your local postal service.

Some packages may take a longer time to arrive, depending on the efficiency of your local postal service.

But if your package does not arrive after 6 weeks since it was shipped, please submit a request using the "Contact Us" form on my storefront at samarasketch.com.

Please allow 1-2 working days for processing requests. We will do our best to get your order to you :)

As long as your order has not been shipped, you are welcome to submit a request using the "Contact Us" form on my storefront at samarasketch.com. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

You may be asked to make additional payment through Storenvy or PayPal for additional items you would like to add to your order. Refunds may also be disbursed through PayPal for cancelled items.

Orders which have been shipped are final and cannot be changed or cancelled. However, if there's an issue with your order or you're not 100% satisfied, you can return or exchange your items once you have received your package. Please refer to our store's return and exchange policy for more information.

Please bear in mind that the photos of our products may differ slightly depending on the photoshoot lighting or your monitor display.

We have made every effort to display, as accurately as possible, the colours of our products that appear on our website. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of your monitor’s display.

As each product is hand-assembled/made, please also expect some slight differences in the position of the pattern or design from the photos and the actual products.
